Located in the northeastern part of Zigong City, Sichuan Province, Zigong Dinosaur Museum is a large-scale museum built on the world-famous “Dashanpu Dinosaur Fossil Group Site”. It is the first specialized dinosaur museum in China and one of the three dinosaur museums built on dinosaur ruins sites in the world. It was opened in 1987 and covers an area of about 70,000 square meters. The collection of fossil specimens covers almost all known dinosaur species from the period of the Jurassic period from 205 million to 135 million years ago.
It is currently the world’s largest collection and display of Jurassic dinosaur fossils. It is rated as “the best dinosaur museum in the world” by US National Geographic. Dragon Palace”.

So,here comes the question, how to get to the Zigong Dinosaur Museum?
Line 1: Airports around the world – Chengdu Shuangliu Airport(CTU) – Airport Coach Station to Zigong Coach station(2.5hours)
There are two terminals in Shuangliu airport, while international flights always land in T1. After coming out of the exit, follow the map instructions and walk for 5 minutes you can arrive the coach station. But if you exit from T2,it will need 10minutes.
Line 2: Airports around the world – Chongqing Jiangbei Airport(CKG) – Airport T3 Coach Station to Zigong Coach station(4hours)
There are enough signs in T3 to guide you to station. But if flight land in T2,the free shuttle bus between T2-T3 is necessary .
00:00 to 04:00, every 30 minutes
04:00 to 22:30, every 5 minutes
22:30 to 24:00, every 10 minutes
Line 3: Airports around the world – -Guangzhou BaiYun international airport-Yibin Caiba Airport(YBP) – Airport shuttle bus between airport to Zigong coach station(1hour)
Yibin Airport is a domestic airport and can only be transferred from other domestic airports. Airport provides a free bus directly to Zigong, just park beside the exit.
Line 4: Guangzhou Station (Guangzhou South Railway Station) or any other domestic station – Neijiang North Station (around 9 hours) – Coach bus to Zigong (1 hours)
After arriving at Zigong by various routes, by taking taxi at anywhere in the city or by taking No.35 bus you can arrive at Zigong Dinosaur Museum. The museum is open from Monday to Friday from 08:30-17:30 and Saturday to Sunday 08. : 30-18:00. Here are detailed introduction on official website.
